Nursery is Available

Nursery is available during our Sunday service. Childcare is generally available for children ages 0-2 for all special services.

The nurseries are located on the west end of the building past the church office.

The Goal

The goal of the WBC nursery ministry is to provide a safe, loving environment for children ages 0 to 2 years old, while their parents or guardians enjoy uninterrupted worship and fellowship.

Each nursery is staffed by one or more adults who are assisted by church youth. Each staff member has been screened by a Child Protection Program, which includes a background check for adults. This ensures that your child will be placed in a safe, secure environment.

  • Label your child's bag and personal belongs
  • Your child and yourself will receive a tag upon dropping off your child. The parent/guardian tag must be turned in to the nursery to claim the child at the end of nursery time
  • Make the staff aware of any special instructions
  • Please keep your child with you if any of the following exist: fever, coughing, sneezing, nasal drainage other than clear, recent vomiting, or any known contagious condition.
  • If your child exhibits any of the above conditions while in the nursery, the staff will contact you

Making your child's stay in the nursery a pleasant one for
both of you

If your child is not accustomed to being left...

  • come in and stay with them during their first visit
  • on their second visit, if the child has not settled down after a period of time, stay with them a short time and then leave again so that they can begin to trust that you will come back for them
  • please refrain from peeking in to see how they're doing. This tends to give them the impression that it is time to leave. If a situation arises in which your child needs your assistance a designated nursery worker will notify you
  • promptly pick your child up following the service so that he or she doesn't fret that they've been forgotten as they see the other children leave
